Shy’s Story

And One Day She was There

Our girl ( Shy )  started creeping her way into our hearts after our granddaughter brought her home from the local kill shelter . she mistakenly thought ” Dad ” gave her the ok to bring her home .

Shy ended up at grandma’s house until she could find her a home . Grandpa ( Me ) was informed about our new guest when I got home . My first thoughts were .. ” great we’re gonna end up with a friggin dog we know nothing about ” not to mention a dog so big I’ll be cleaning up piles of poop the size of footballs . The size of this dog is scary if she decides to go after anyone she’s gonna be hard to stop. Shy had an intelligent look about her that indicated she was going to be a handful

Day 7  had arrived ..  the last day of her probation…  be adopted or return to dog jail to face an unknown fate which was most likely death because the 13 day shelter limit had been reached .

As we sat on the patio .. Shy laid on the grass,  she kept looking at us while the kids played .  The look on her face.. the drooping ears and the sad golden eyes said it all !  She knew her time was up .

A moment passed then I looked over to my wife and said that’s too good of soul to let go …   after note I don’t regret adopting her one bit . I was so wrong about my first impressions of this amazing girl ( except the poop part )

We would like to learn more about her and the other Pyr that was dropped at the shelter but there was not much more info to be had  . The story is the two were sister’s . Evidence suggests otherwise, most likely mother and daughter. According to vet  she’d had pups not long before she came in  .. anyway that’s our girls story !
